INSTRUCTIONS TO BE DONATED AND CONFIRMATIONS OF USE

The Marburg Mission Foundation is responsible for promoting charitable and religious purposes. Exemption decision of the tax office Giessen, exempt from corporate tax.
We are entitled to issue donation confirmations for the donations directed to us for presentation to the tax office.
In January of the following year, the annual donation certificate will be sent to you.

How much of my donation does the supported project actually reach?

We work according to the 90/10 principle: 90% of your donation goes to the project. We use 10% to cover our administrative costs.

We are committed to handling the money responsibly and the Donation principles the Working Group of Evangelical Missions (English)AEM) and to face the annual audit.

GENERAL NOTE:

We welcome every donation and guarantee to use it exclusively for the fulfilment of our statutory purposes. If you specify a specific purpose or project for your grant, it will be used accordingly. If this is not possible, since this purpose does not exist, the project has too many donations or has ended, your donation will be sent to a similar project.

In the case of permanent donations or long-term permanent orders that have an obsolete or unchanged donation purpose, we assign the donations to the subsequent project or a similar project.

INDICATION OF COMPLETE ADDRESSES

We would like to thank you for your donation and send you a donation confirmation. In addition to the intended use on the transfer medium, please also inform us of your complete current address.
We have several difficulties in allocating donations correctly, because the banks usually only provide the name of the sender.
Therefore, it is a great help if you enter your postcode, street and house number in the field "Purpose" in addition to the purpose.

IN WHICH HEIGHT ARE DONATIONS IN THE FINANCIAL ACCOUNT?

On 6 July 2007, the German Bundestag decided to »Law on further strengthening civic engagement«. Accordingly, donations to charitable organizations and foundations can be deducted retroactively from 01.01.2007 up to 20% of the total income as a special expense.
The previous deduction restrictions have been lifted.
The new regulation has significantly simplified the possibilities of deducting donations.
For large donations, however, the upper limit can be reached quickly. In these cases, it is possible to carry forward the deduction of donations that has no longer been used into the following years.
Donations to the assets of a foundation can be deducted at the request of the taxpayer during the assessment period of the grant and in the following nine assessment periods up to a total amount of a maximum of EUR 1 million.
