Your commitment to the people of Bethesda takes place in the pedagogical and supervising area and includes care and promotion, care, leisure activities and the implementation of devotions.

We strive to put together a team for Bethesda. So you're not alone. You can make your assignment flexible: at least six months, a maximum of one year – very suitable for your own schedule.

In Bethesda, encounters and relationships with people with disabilities are part of everyday life. These experiences are enriching and open up great personal and professional potential. It is helpful if you already make first contacts with people with disabilities in Germany – so it is easier for you to get started in Taiwan and you can actively participate from the beginning.

Good English skills are required. You have the opportunity to learn Chinese for a few hours each week.

You live on the site during your assignment. During the week You will be fed in the groups. In addition, you have the opportunity to get to know the diverse and varied Chinese cuisine. For that you get food money. 

If you are deployed for at least eight months, your service in Bethesda will be recognised as ‘Other Service Abroad (ADiA)’. Your parents are still entitled to child support during your assignment. 

For the entire mission, the donation target is 355€ per month. This includes, in addition to cost and logis, all insurance and the administration of your service. Additional costs are the flight, the visa, the required imps and the introductory seminar.
