On Friday, 16.01.2026, Chanty and Christian Schneider were back in their home and supported the residents with small, practical relief actions. They were accompanied by several children who were engaged.
Even before the meal together, a moving conversation arose: One of the boys told openly about a seriously ill person in his family. This moment made it clear how much trust and closeness in the place have now grown.
In gratitude for their help, Chanty and Christian invited the children to dinner and gave each a small cross follower. "It’s amazing," says Chanty, "how much such small gestures and symbols trigger in people."
Christian adds: It is a privilege when children tell us so openly about their lives. And seeing them blossom with a small gift makes the presence of Jesus especially noticeable.
