High security prisons

With teams of between 15 and 30 Christians from different countries of origin, Imo and Erika Scharrer visit several locations of high-security prisons, spread across Taiwan. In recent years, this has brought the liberating gospel of Jesus to several thousand prisoners. Hundreds accepted Jesus as their Savior and Liberator and were baptized.

Deportation prisons

Here are mostly guest workers who have run away from their job. Half of them are Muslim women from Indonesia, who cared for the sick in families. They had to work around the clock. They were often beaten and raped.

Offering perspectives

Many of the inmates have gone through traumatic experiences. Most people no longer have expectations of life. Through pastoral talks and sympathy, the inmates are encouraged to want to continue living.

The Good News

The center of prison work is the good news of Jesus Christ. This message even gives freedom to people in chains and captivity. Love and acceptance God, this To people bring, is a privilege.

English teaching

Sr. Monika Gottschild offer, be long years in prisons teaching English. The aim is to provide practical assistance to the inmates in a worldwide spoken language that opens new doors and opportunities for them.
