Who is Jesus?
Many people’s understanding of Jesus Christ in Spain is marked by two basic statements of the Creed: "Born by the Virgin Mary" and "successful under Pontius Pilate". Who is Jesus? This is the little son of Mary. The one the Mother of God carries on her arm. So just one child. What should you do with him?
Or they think of Jesus who suffered so terribly, was punished and finally crucified. "Ah, the poor one!", the man who arouses their compassion.
Jesus the Son of God, who was born as a baby, powerfully proclaimed, did signs of God’s reign, crucified and resurrected, and now reigns, these accounts and statements of the Bible are few among men. Many have had negative experiences with power, authority, church and religion and speak little about it. Some turn away from faith and the Church without knowing who Jesus really is.
Occasionally, however, especially among the young generation, there is an interest in the Bible and the desire to get to know Jesus Christ more.
Thank you,
- for the Christians and communities in Spain and the many missionary projects.
- for the growing interest in the Bible and in Jesus among the young generation.
We PLEASE:
- to get to know a growing interest among the people of Spain, Jesus Christ and the contents of the Bible.
- That Christians do not regard their fellow human beings as "mission objects" to be converted to their "club", but that they find Jesus.
